In Eastmuir we are committed to parent partnership and value parents input into their child's education. Some of the ways you can get involved are:
Complete homework task with your child
Look for opportunities to make connections at home with school learning through understanding your child's targets and being aware of the content of the class learning letter.
Attending review meetings and parents evenings.
Supporting in classes as a Parent Helper.
Helping at school trips and special occasions.
Talk to your child about their day. Photographs on Twitter are often a good conversation starter.
Contact the school at any time if they have queries or wish to inform the school of any development which may affect your child in school.
We run workshops to share information on our curriculum and regularly organise family events where parents can join their child in the classroom or take part in activities together in school , often outdoors and sometimes further afield.
We aim to support parents to use Makaton to communicate with their child to complement the work the children do in school.
Good nutrition supports every child's growth and development. Eastmuir provide regular family cooking sessions to develop the skills of the parent/carer and the child.
The school has an open door policy, feel free to contact us if you have any concerns or feedback to share.
